The APS was formed in 1886 to promote stamp collecting to people of all ages. The Society was formed in 1886 to promote stamp collecting to people of all ages. It continues to serve all collectors by offering information on how to get started or started again; how to improve your collection and even buy stamps and insure your collection; and learn and enjoy the hobby itself through many educational programs and members like yourself you can meet. A favorite benefit is the Society's monthly journal, "The American Philatelist". Each 100-page full-color issue is filled with articles on all aspects of philately, as well as information on how to use the Society's many services and exciting advertising from leading dealers and auctions houses. | ||
