Devoted to the stamps and postal history of Nepal. I have been interested in the stamps and postal history of Nepal since I was a high school student Nepal is an extremely interesting but difficult country to collect. The early classic stamps issued between 1881 and 1930 are particularly challenging. It took me about 40 years to really begin to understand them. This website is intended to pass on some of what I have learned. Hopefully it will give the reader a general overview of Nepalese philately and help dealers, general collectors and any potential Nepal specialists to differentiate between the various issues, recognize some of the more obvious forgeries, and understand which items should be purchased with particular caution. | ||
